Recognized again for leadership in diversity and inclusion

Fair360 names Kaiser Permanente to its Top 50 Hall of Fame for the seventh year in a row.

Our inclusive workplace helps us deliver equitable care and outcomes for our patients, members, and communities.

For the seventh year in a row, Kaiser Permanente was named to the Fair360 (formerly DiversityInc) Top 50 Hall of Fame. This achievement recognizes our diversity and inclusion practices. These practices guide us in hiring, retaining, and promoting women, people of color, veterans, people with disabilities, and people in the LGBTQ+ community.

Companies are eligible for the hall of fame after earning a number one spot on the Top 50 Companies for Diversity list. We earned the number one spot in 2011 and 2016.

As always, we’re committed to advancing diversity at every level of our organization. We value all backgrounds, identities, and abilities as we serve our diverse communities. In 2023, members of racial, ethnic, and cultural minorities represented 69% of our total workforce, and women were 74%.

Embracing each person’s unique perspective and experience allows us to work together to solve complex problems and achieve our mission. And creating an inclusive workplace where we all feel we belong helps us deliver equitable care and outcomes for our patients, members, and communities.

Our equity principles guide our practices and behaviors, influence how we treat one another, and reflect our mission. They help guide us as we build a highly inclusive, engaged, and equitable workplace.

Our important Belong@KP training helps us recognize bias in our actions. The training provides a broader understanding of systemic racism and offers ways to think and act more inclusively. Belong@KP also supports an unbiased and equitable approach to the recruitment, hiring, development, advancement, and retention of our people.
